Effects of Parents’ Conflicts on Children in District Rahim Yar Khan

This study was conducted to determine the effects of parents’ conflicts on children in the District of Rahim Yar Khan. The objectives of this study are to know the impact of parents’ conflicts on children’s mental health, physical health, academic performance, and social life. A descriptive quantitative survey design was chosen for this investigation. The study's population is all colleges (Government and Private) in the District of Rahim Yar Khan and the sample was 20 colleges. Of these 20 colleges, 380 students (boys and girls) and 120 teachers (males and females) participated as a sample. Simple random sampling is used. For collecting data, two self-structured questionnaires were used; one for students which consists of 40 items, and one for teachers which consists of 30 items. So, quantitative data from students and teachers was gathered, and checked the effects of parents’ conflicts on children. The collected data was analyzed with the help of SPSS. The results revealed that parents’ conflicts affect children’s academic performance, focus, and performance in the class. Parental conflict and bad inter parental behaviors negatively impact children’s ability, their social life, and their mental and physical health. To conclude, there is a strong correlation between children's behavior and parents' inadequate role modeling. This study explores the transformative role of vocational institutions in empowering trans and gender-diverse individuals in Pakistan, a community often marginalized and excluded from mainstream education. Focusing on alumni from Pakistan's pioneering transgender school, referred to as the "School of Hope for the Marginalized," the research investigates how vocational education impacts the vocational and personal development of its students. Through in-depth interviews, the study examines the lived experiences of trans and gender-diverse students, highlighting changes in their vocational skills, self-esteem, social integration, and overall quality of life. By evaluating the school’s influence, both positive and negative, the research aims to uncover its effectiveness in promoting socio-economic upliftment and personal growth. The findings contribute to the understanding of how inclusive vocational education can address systemic inequities and foster social inclusion for marginalized communities in Pakistan.

Influence of Peer Group Relationships in Academic Performance of Secondary School Students in District Rahim Yar Khan

This research investigates the role of peer group relationship in determination of academic achievements of the students in secondary schools of Rahim Yar Khan. The aims are therefore not only to understand the relationship between peer influences on study behaviors and motivation, but also to evaluate the influence of peer relations on self-esteem and academic efficacy beliefs, as well as to explore the contribution of peer learning to effective learning achievements. Besides, the study aims at comparing effects of peer relationships on gender differences in the desired academic achievement and recommend how positive peer relationships can be promoted in a way that will lead to improvement of achievement. Participants were 230 teaching staffs and 380 students from different secondary schools in the district. The study shows that peer group relationships have a very bad effect on students’ performance. About 80 percent of the teachers expressed an opinion that these relationships can result in high or low achievement respectively, based on the type of relationships developing between a teacher and a learner. Also, 85% of stated students recognized the impact of peers on students’ academic performance, where they described different aspects of peers’ involvement. Based on the study’s findings, the researcher established that students’ peer relations could greatly help promote their academic achievement in secondary schools. They revisit the importance of intervention and approach directed towards strengthening peer relations in order to increase learning outcomes in Rahim Yar Khan. All these findings help to explain the pattern of peer influence in educational settings and stress the need for creating positive peer contexts in school.
