https://vjes.voyageams.com/index.php/vjes/article/view/210

This study investigates the critical considerations required for the effective integration of digital technology into architectural education, aiming to develop a comprehensive framework for digital pedagogy. Architectural education has undergone a significant transformation with the advent of digital tools, yet the adoption of these technologies remains uneven across different educational contexts. This research examines methodologies and techniques utilized in Digital Design Studios worldwide and contrasts them with the current practices in Pakistan, where a reliance on decades old pedagogical approaches persists. By analyzing case studies and design methodologies from three geographically and culturally diverse countries, the study identifies both convergences and divergences in pedagogical frameworks. The comparative analysis provides valuable insights into the global integration of digital tools, fostering an understanding of how these advancements can be adapted and implemented effectively within different educational settings. The findings reveal that while several countries have embraced innovative digital practices, Pakistan’s architectural pedagogy lags behind, highlighting the urgent need for modernization. This research emphasizes the importance of aligning architectural education with contemporary digital advancements to foster creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills among future architects. Ultimately, this investigation contributes to a growing body of knowledge aimed at redefining architectural pedagogy by bridging traditional practices with cutting-edge technological innovations, ensuring its relevance in an increasingly digital world.
Ms. 'Shafiqa Sohail..
